18+ oyster + 16-25 railcard.

Hope you lot are enjoying the beautiful weather and freshers week for those that are starting uni or have started already.
I have just applied for a 18+ student oyster and have purchase a railcard.
What I was wondering was if you could use them in conjunction with each other.
So my weekly travel card on my oyster is £30 pounds ish,will the railcard give me an extra 1/3 off?

Yes.
Go to the ticket office and ask them to apply the railcard to the oyster. You'll get 1/3 off during off-peak journeys.
