Have you looked at any A-Level textbooks? I think these might be more worthwhile that internet links.

How does Biochemistry explanation grab ya? Not quite sure what's so different but i've been given notes on the Biochemistry model.

Lam et al (1996) found that anti-depressants containing serotonin were more effective for depression than those containing Noradreneline (which had no effect, for some reason). This suggests that low levels of Serotonin have a link with depression, and increasing the brains levels of Serotonin raises a depressed persons mood.
- Criticism: Cognitive psychologists would question whether 'moody' thoughts lower levels of Serotonin, or whether the lack of Serotonin makes 'moody thoughts'.

Baneu & Durand (1995) found that the hormone Cortisol was higher in depressed people. Higher levels of Cortisol are hard for the body to suppress, and too much can alter moods.

If you mean genetics then PM me, i've got studies on them too
