What small IT business's can I start?

I'm studying computer science, I would like to ask what kind of small business can I start? I hold CCNA, I'm studying programming, web development, software development.

I'm quite good at what I do, I'm not aiming to be big, just a small business which grows steadily.

1) IT consulting (web development, security, specs, network-I hold a CCNA, etc)
2) Software testing
3) IT training
4) Learning programming, web development classes

As again, I'm getting qualified, I hold A+, CCNA, I'm learning programming, software development, object orientated programming, web development.

Comments appreciated.

I'd go with IT training for sure, if you can offer good quality training for a reasonable price, you can make good money. Out of interest.. how did you obtain your A+ as I cant find many classroom based training courses.

Thanks for the reply.

I did my A+ at my college in the evenings, best bet is go to colleges in your local area and see what part time, evening courses they do.

I would get some decent industry experience first because starting a business right out of university without the experience will fail unless you have something extra special like Bill Gates.
I agree with Jack. In my previous jobs I've hired IT training providers, I would want someone with real life experience as well as the qualifications.

You'll also need to think about your marketing when you set up a business. It would be good to get some experience in digital marketing too so you could promote your own services and experience.

Good luck
