'Finland's no good': Disappointed migrants turn back

"Refugees" are really picky apparently.

"You can tell the world I hate Finland. It's too cold, there's no tea, no restaurants, no bars, nobody on the streets, only cars," 22-year-old Muhammed told AFP in Tornio.

I think it's 1000% clear they are not asylum seekers, and should all be sent back.
What an idiot. If Finland isnt good enough for him, nowhere will be.

These migrants are making mugs of Western European nations. I'm glad I live in a country where the government says no to them. If Merkel wants to go dictating and penalise countries in terms of GDP then let her but when the entire EU project falls apart because of such, she will only have herself to blame. I am firmly of the belief Germany should take the majority of them, especially considering she was the one inviting them which would have definitely encouraged others after to take the risk.

Yea, the genuine refugees are perfectly happy in Turkey.

At this point, trying to decipher the intentions and motivations of the tens of thousands of refugees, based on biased news reports spun for some sort of entertainment value, is a pretty futile exercise.

Every news source you find on the internet, you can find something to contradict it, and something else contradicting that. Modern media presents a variety of polarising opinions, the logical step from which is to arrive at some sort of middle ground (probably what’s closest to the truth). But human minds don’t tend to work that way and what you get is groups of people holding strong opinions one way or another, using articles that conform to their world views to fuel their opinions, while disregarding others.

The fact is, nobody who reads the newspape, watches the news or reads articles online is worthy of having an opinion on the solution if it’s based on the evidence from those sources alone. The solution to the problem is likely way over the heads of anyone on this forum. The questions people need to be asking themselves are deeper than that.

Refugee host school bans revealing clothes

"The Syrian citizens are mainly Muslims and speak Arabic. The refugees are marked by their own culture. Because our school is directly next to where they are staying, modest clothing should be adhered to, in order to avoid discrepancies. Revealing tops or blouses, short shorts or miniskirts could lead to misunderstandings."

They must be pretty stupid then. A high salary doesn't mean a thing. Its all about disposable income plus cost of living. No point having a high salary if property prices are high, bills are high and the cost of living as a whole is high because it'll just cancel out those good wages.

It's also something a lot of idiots in the UK don't understand. People think a high salary automatically results in a better standard of living in comparison to other countries when the reality is that simply isn't true.
They aren't the only "refugees" who don't like safe countries.

It would be poetic justice to see the liberal hipsters who champion open borders getting kicked out of their homes to make way for migrants.

Maybe educate yourselves as to the context instead of spouting *******s based on zero research.

1) 5000 kr. is a pittance. IIRC they've just reintroduced a system whereby you can only get a lower rate of welfare unless you've been in Denmark for x amount of years. Either a given amount of welfare is enough to ensure a dignified existence while out of work or it isn't - living in Denmark doesn't get cheaper just because you're brown and don't speak Danish yet. To have different amounts for different communities strikes me as utterly, utterly wrong.

2) He's right in that in Denmark it takes ages right now to get the paperwork pushed through to get your family brought over. If the whole point of the men coming over alone was to ensure that they got to their final destination safely and quickly, so that they could then get their family out of the war zone ASAP, of course they aren't going to choose to stay in Denmark if that means an extra year's delay. What's 500 km from Denmark to Sweden compared to the journey they already managed, if it means that their family is less likely to die/get sold into slavery before they can send for them?
