Hey, so I'm a year behind all my friends 'cause I messed up my A-levels, so I'll be starting uni a year later. Just worried it won't be as good because I'll be a year older than all the other freshers.. Anyone else have/had this problem?

Please don't worry! You're definitely not the only one and lots of students take a gap year before going to uni. In fact I did, but a few years ago now...

Is there anything in particular that you're worried about?

My name is Amy and I a student ambassador for Bournemouth University.

Don't painc! You would be surprised how many people do actually take a gap year out. I am one of the odd ones having gone straight into uni. So don't worry. It really isn't a big deal! No one really asks or cares how old you are (and its only one year anyway :biggrin:
