In my highers this year I got AAAA and I am predicted AAAAA in my 4 highers plus an advanced this year. Is leaving school with 9 A's good?

Sorry, let me rephrase that. I know that it's good.

What I meant to include was that, the national 5 candidates - most recent - achieved amazing grades. In my school the number who attained 8 A's was 9 candidates, 7 a's and 1 b was 12 candidates and 6 a's and 2 b's was over 16. In my nationals I only achieved AABBB in S4 because I had no sense of direction, no ambition and was one of the guinea pigs so to speak of the new national qualifications. Will my poor national grades have an impact on my application? Also, surely those who got 8 a's will get 5 A's in their highers without a doubt, therefore my results are not as impressive.
