Help with composite function question!!

Really need help with this question please!!

Consider the function f(x) that maps natural numbers to natural numbers given by f(x) = 2x

Find a function g(x) that fulfills g(f(x)) = x, but g(x) MUST also map natural numbers to natural numbers.

My first thoughts were g(x) has to be g(x) = x/2 but this cannot map natural numbers to natural numbers, for example if they're odd they'll have a decimal place (I.e. 5/2 =2.5) and this isn't a natural number anymore!! Any help would be much appreciated
