Keele Uni?

If you live in West Midlands, would it be easy to live at home and go to Keele university?

It depends what course you intend to do and how long you're in lectures for..
And whether you're willing to lose out on the university social life ..

Hi,

My name's Jodie. I work in the Student Services Centre.

The closest train station is Stoke-On-Trent which is 5 miles away. Then you can get the number 3 bus from the station to Keele https://www.keele.ac.uk/findus/bybus/

It's best to plan out your route to see how long it would take you to get here and whether that suits you. We have a commuter Facebook group which you could join if you did decide you want to come to Keele and maybe see if you could car share. https://www.facebook.com/groups/619883701442958/

You will meet lots of people on your course and if you join a society you could end up making best friends with guys who live near to Keele and you might be able to stay at their house if you wanted to go out for the night. I don't think being off campus means you lose out of any of the social life. You get out of university as much as you put in. The more you join in and get involved, the more experiences you have.

Check out our Local and Commuter web page: http://www.keele.ac.uk/studentgroups/localandcommuterstudents/

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot:smile:
Yes it is, my sister did this for her first year and found it easy
However, as the work load increases in the second year you may find it easier to stay in university accomodation. This allows you a lot more time for independent study rather than traveling!! :')

I've moved your thread to Keele university (as well as your other uni threads in their uni forums from Chat) you're more likely to get the appropriate responses if it's in the right forum, please make sure you check you've posted in the right place next time, check for forums in the forums list.
