Does applying to a more popular college limit your chances of getting in?
I want to apply to Brasenose college to do English, however heard it's really competitive to get in as it's one of the more popular colleges. Is it worth applying to a smaller/less popular college? Will my chances of getting in be greater etc? Really really like Brasenose though :s
You may be less likely to get into a popular college, but it makes you no less likely you will get into Oxford. i.e. pooling balances out applicants across the university to ensure good candidates still get a place even if it's not at their first choice.
So, apply to the college you prefer...
