Titration/Neutralisation reaction- HELP!

This is for coursework...can anyone explain this reaction to me in terms of bronsted-Lowry theory i.e. conjugate acid/base etc. and tell me if it cant be explained by that and im getting worried for no reason :smile: . As far as ive researched...This neutralisation is a two part process- something about HCO3- ion forming, followed by carbonic acid or something? I cant find the right info....help!

H2SO4 + NaCO3 --> NaSO4 + CO2 + H2O

Thanx in advance!
you have the formula of sodium carbonate wrong

Na2CO3

1st stage

H+ + CO3(2-) ---> HCO3(-)

2nd stage

H+ + HCO3(-) ---> H2O + CO2
