How can people afford to pay for the fourth year in a Scottish Uni?

I really want to apply to Edinburgh, but I'm concerned about how I'd finance the fourth year, as my parents can only afford to help me with living costs for three years. I know that student finance is meant to cover this, but apparently it never does entirely and most people need extra money from their parents to live on. Is the only option to get a job? Because I'd rather focus on my degree.

I am not eligible for any extra funding or bursaries or anything as I technically come from a higher income household. However my parents have three children, all of whom will be at University at the same time, so can't afford to support me for more than 3 years.
