I know some of these terms from Jake Wright's vlogs. :smile:

He was at Cambridge though, but yeah we do have some similar slang.

Finals count towards your end degree classification, usually taken at the end of third year. Collections are waste of time mock exams that everyone loathes and usually gets a crap mark in...

Yeah, I thought so. The link I read said they are in 3rd and 4th year but I had some in 2nd year.. I purposefully bomb collections so I don't give myself nor my tutors any false hope for my final grades.

Collections are not finals, but they are exams.

I didn't even consider collections!

Because every word can have only one meaning?

Does 'Oxford' refer only to:
1. the University;
2. the city;
3. the county;
4. the cloth/shirt;
5. the shoes;
6. the name of the now vacant earldom and what would have been his/her name;
7. the 'surname' of the now vacant Bishop of Oxford;
8. the surname of many people;
9. a place called 'Oxford' in other countries all over the world?

Which one? Does it mean only one thing?
