I'm 38 and doing my first year with the OU in environmental management with the aim of changing career when I graduate. Do keep wondering if age will count against me when applying for jobs, find out soon enough though.

At the grand old age of 49, I have given up an IT career to pursue a new career in teaching. Go for it, life is too short

How did it all go for you? Currently in IT myself

I am returning to studying next September and completely changing my focus (music to sports therapy/physio). Seems like such a daunting thing to do but determined. Just looking to find other folks considering doing anything similar.

I am Scotland/Glasgow based.

Hi there!

It's great to hear that you have decided to get back into education. It's never too late to study - a lot of our students are mature and we hear lots of really inspiring stories from them all of the time.

If you have any questions that you think we would I can help with then let me know.

Anyway, good luck with your studies and have a great day!

Hannah
