Unsure about my degree

I am undertaking a medically related degree. I have previously studied a medically related subject at uni and loved it I did well I got a 2.1 and a masters. Unfortunately I am not good at the practical side of things so research is out of the question plus its unstable.

The medically related degree I am doing now is different I don't find the lectures that interesting (other people in the class find some of the lectures boring so maybe its not entirely me) although I loved the conference and I like reading round the subject for the most part. As well as having a problem with lectures I also have a problem with placement in that I am yawning throughout the day most days I try to stop but I just can't help it (I got 8 hours sleep or more Tuesday to Friday and 7/75. on the Monday, so I don't think it was a sleep issue). At the last placement I got a C (which considering most people get As and Bs on placement is not good).

Some people who I talk to/read about on the internet who did medically related degrees said things like:
I was bored on placement as its mostly observation but when I got into practice I enjoyed it
When I went into a specialism I enjoyed it more as it was more challenging

I've taken a year out to get more clinical experience (I've signed up for some volunteer work, booked up some courses and plan to shadow individuals in different areas). I am hoping that improving on the clinical side will make me better on placements and I won't be yawning through them.

I am just worried that the yawning is a sign something clinically orientated is not for me. Maybe if I like reading round something theory related is better (I am at the moment looking into tutoring and educational content development).

The pros of completing would be more medical knowledge which will probably mean more opportunities and I may also be less bored after qualifying if I work bank and find other things to do during the week or go into a specialty.

Sorry for the long post. Really need some advice, some days I feel worried as I wonder if I'll go on placement next year and fail because I am not engaged enough. That said I do feel a little better this time round with the clinical work: I feel some of the practical bits have gone in better and I feel less stressed so that is a good sign.

p.s. I am seeing a careers adviser and going to exhibitions in other areas to see whats out there.
