Midwifery Personal statement

Hey! I'm 19 years old and have wanted to be a midwife for as long as I can remember! I don't know what makes me want to be one so badly but it's something that I'm really passionate about. Unfortunately my application was unsuccessful last year and I was gutted. I was lucky enough to get into general nursing at UCD in Dublin, and although I'm happy enough, I still want to try for midwifery again via UCAS. I don't know how to get round the fact that I'm studying nursing on my statement, because uni's can be fussy about that, and I don't know where to even start with my statement! Please help! 😅
I don't know much about midwifery, but when I was struggling to write a statement I looked at successful applicants PS for inspiration. So are you currently studying at Uni on the nursing course and want to transfer over to midwifery?

Has anyone heard from Middlesex who did the numeracy and literacy exam?
Talk about relevant bits from your current course that will help with midwifery.
