    Re: MSc?
I ve been to Bristol and UCL and even though I really liked Bristol I absolutely loved UCL. Both UCL and Bristol got great CS facilities (I think Bristols department is a bit bigger, but I might be wrong). Location of UCL is its huge advantage. Somehow I get this feeling that UCL is always on the edge of CS technology and research and Bristol is a little bit more theoretical (so talking in terms of MSc you should look more specifically on the areas of research).

I am an int'l student as well and i have got offer from York (For Msc in SWE), Bristol Data Mining and Machine Learning, and had my application withdrawn from UCL(Software System Engineering). If i were you i would take york (for SWE) or UCL (For CNDS), the internet technology from Bristol is just not a professionally designed programme- look at their modules. I have been to York for the interview and met a few current students and teaching staff on that day and i am impressed; for some modules you will get a 2-3 pages long feedback, i believe you won't get that from Bristol or UCL. However i also learned that around half (of the students) will be int'l students, mostly from China and Taiwan, so you have been warned!!!

Forgot to mention that the SWE at York is likely to have 40-50 students.
