Interview show

I've recieved an email from one of the universities I have appiled to giving me me an interview. However I have been given a dress code as smart casual, which isn't a problem, but I'm unsure what shoes to wear. On the email it states to wear sensible shoes due to going on a rural campus tour but the majority of my smart shoes are heels, so I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Girls what would you do?

Go for flat pretty shoes, heel just sound like a bad idea all round for a rural campus.
