How hard is it to get a room in Talybont Gate?

As it's the first year Taly Gate has been open I doubt anyone will be able to reliably tel;l you how hard it is the get in...but from common sense I'd actually argue it might not be as popular as you might think as there are lots of cheaper options. When I applied I chose the halls really close to uni (e.g. Column rd) as my first few choices, but didnt get those because they tend to be much smaller than the Talybont and Uni halls. And actually that turned out good for me as once I arrived I was glad to be in Taly south rather than Column Road (FYI column road - don't do it, so noisy and right by the road!). So I'd say put Taly Gate down if that's what you fancy - it's pretty big so your chances aren't terrible. Just make sure to put maybe a different Taly near the top of your list too... (if you're looking for niceness rather than cheapness put taly court as your second choice)
