firmed Pharmacy yesterday 😄

Im just about too aswell! Just got a quick question to ask you, did you offer say anything about an enhanced disclosure? There was a link for info on it in my offer but the link doesn't seem to be working :frown: just wondering if it was the same for you
I'm going to go to strathclyde next year for IBML and I have to live at home during my first year but I'm really worried that me living at home would make my social life suffer. I heard from an IB student at strath that there's like a social devide between people who live in halls/flats and people who live at home because apparantly the people who live in halls/flats don't reallt make much of an effort to get to know the home people. do any other strathy students agree that this is true?

I can't remember if I did or not. I just want to hear back so I can go ahead and firm my top choice and decide on my insurance but they're taking aaaages :frown:

I was in the same position, I wanted to move on with my application. I eventually gave up waiting. It was well after their usual offer deadline so I emailed and asked why I hadn't heard anything. They responded quickly and told me I'd have a decision within a week. A few days later I finally got an offer.

You just apply for halls as normal (you just go here: https://ben.mis.strath.ac.uk/accomappl/opencontrol/entry) and you will hear back once you have met your conditions ie in August. Those who have unconditionals and have applied for halls will hear back in June. Good luck with meeting your conditions!

Im so sorry i only just seen someone haf replied there! Yeah my link for disclosure isnt working either, i think its only active when we actually begin uni!
I think if you choose to live at home then it's up to you to make an effort to get to know the other people who are on your course or in your year. if you wait for them to make the effort you'll have few friends because if you live in halls you have ready made groups to socialise with and don't need to make as much effort.
Join a few clubs at freshers fayre and stick with them. If you're doing something like engineering you'll be in small groups for practicals anyway although there are loads of folk in the general lectures.
Be prepared to put the effort in and you'll be fine.

This was me last year, although I was 31!

As an indication, I got my results through on 31st July (via snail mail) and an acceptance email from Strathclyde on 5th August.

Best of luck!
Cheers, funnily enough I just got an email from admissions saying that the results should be on PEGASUS 2 working days after the 28th. Fingers crossed.

Anyone here planning to travel from Edinburgh to Strathclyde throughout the first year of their course?
I'm planning to study pharmacy their,

Would be very useful to hear what methods of transport people are taking since I'm unsure about this myself.
Thanks
