Medical extenuating circumstances

Hi all,

I done really bad in my GCSE s due to medical reasoning where i have several medical notes to back up - I got hospitalised on several occasions during my GCSEs where my GP doctor wrote that i wasnt fit enough to take the rest of the exams.

I am retaking 7 GCSEs and hoping for all A* - i want to know if oxford will turn me down despite my reasoning as i am retaking GCSEs in one year - btw my current college is really bad so i will be amongst one of the few who would have done well even after retakes

Hi,

It would depend on what subject you are hoping to apply for, as well as how the rest of your application is. Oxford would also want to have an indication whether these were/are health problems that could recur and if so, how best to support you through the application and if you eventually get to Oxford.

Do you have a particular subject/college in mind atm? :smile:
