What's with all the gay avatar pictures?

I'm not against it (since I'm gay myself), but im wondering how this came about...

I was talking about this with Iliberal Liberal on the other thread!

/confused.
Someone objected to gays kissing, calling it 'gross' etc.

Many people on here then decided to change their profile pics accordingly to challenge the implicit homophobia.

I will change my avatar/profile pic to join the noble cause of pissing off bigots soon.
I don't understand how people are still asking this? It's been explained so many times already and at least 2 huge threads have been made on the subject!

Yup, t'was basically in protest of the first complaint about a gay couple kissing in someone's avatar.
In response, loads of people switched to one

I have to say, I quite enjoyed that original thread. Sad it got deleted... :cry2:
I was wondering this too - makes sense now.

Against this childish method, yes.

It was/is a great method of protest!

It's probably confused a lot of new posters into thinking TSR is exclusively homosexual.
Well, I just joined this. Korrasami FTW.

I feel the same...

Seems a little stupid, I guess.

But hey, it's not causing any harm.

To annoy the homophobes :h:.
To annoy the homophobes. :h:
I suppose in a way, constantly seeing gay kissing should hopefully desensitise the homophobes who are so uptight about it. Plus, it's an expression of love.

Exactly the point. To add to it, such expressions of love shouldn't be banned or pushed away just because some people feel seeing same love sickens them. :h:
