Cambridge Colleges

Hi
I am planning on applying to Cambridge next year to study veterinary medicine but I cannot decide which college to apply to.
I know that some colleges do not offer veterinary medicine and others are aimed at certain types of people. However I am finding hard to sieve through all the information to find the best one.
If you have been to Cambridge or know a lot about the colleges and can offer some advice on what makes each college good/bad (in particular relevance to veterinary) that would be much appropriated!

There is no good college or bad college for vet med or any other course. And there is no college that aims for any type of people or subject.
And your choice of college will not be affected by your chance of getting offer from Cambridge because of their quite effective moderation system.
So don't lose sleep over trying choose a college. Almost everyone thinks their college is the best in the world, no matter if it was their first choice or was pooled there.

As you may know, the colleges *not* offering VetMed are Christ’s, Corpus Christi, Trinity, King’s and Peterhouse. Source: http://www.vet.cam.ac.uk/applications/colleges

Some colleges are women-only: Lucy Cavendish, Murray Edwards, Newnham

And some are for mature/PG students (21+): Lucy Cavendish, St Edmund’s, Wolfson

So if you are/or aren't one of those "types of people" then that will help you with a shortlist to rule those colleges in/out as you see appropriate.

And do take on board everything @vincrows mentioned too.

By the way, there is a VetMed thread in the Cambridge forum:

And a thread for 2017 Hopefuls:
