nightlife/socialising

I'm looking at applying for UWE this year and really wanted to know what the nightlife is like? I'd be staying on Frenchay campus I think, so would love to know how easy it is to get to the city centre, how much it costs, how good the nightlife is etc? Any advice would be appreciated!!

Hi Jessbeard,

I might be a bit biased but the nightlife in UWE Bristol is amazing, I was a student living in Frenchay campus last year. Living on campus I had no problem getting to city centre. There are frequent buses to town, especially the bus X14 which is a direct bus to city centre. In regards to cost, with my student card I get 30% discount on all bus fares, which are £1.75 single, £2.50 return and £2.80 day rider.

We have an amazing new Students’ Union building which has weekly events such as ‘The lock In’, ‘Airhop Trampoline Park’ and ‘Live Music’ – including discounts to other events in city centre. I joined one of the societies in UWE; I enjoy being a part of a team, the Wednesday team socials and travelling. Are you interested in joining any society?
