LAE application problem

Hey guys! Here's my situation,
I sent my LAE (London Academy Of Excellence) application on the day it opened. At the time I didn't know my predicted grades and I thought the school wouldn't come up with them now so I just put I thought I was would be predicted. (I was being reasonable)
It turns out that the school really do have my predicted grades so i sent LAE an email saying if they can withdraw my previous application and if I can send in an new one with my correct predicted grades. Was this the right thing to do? Because now my brother and sister are saying that it makes me look 'incompetent' and that I've lied when I didn't really mean to,

If its all too messy to explain over online. I would suggest you directly go to LAE and ask to speak to a member of staff explaining your current situation.
