will i get to my chosen uni- Engineering ??

Okay so i am in my second year of btec l3 engineering.
First year of bfec: D*D incl merit for maths only
predictin: DDD
Gcses: C,C,C,D,D,E,E,E,F not soo good gcse

I am considering to apply for
The university of Birmingham - EEE incl Maths Distinction

Cardiff university - Mechanical engineering
Loughborough university- EEE
Manchester university- EEE
Nottingham university -EEE incl Maths Distinction

Please tell me your views if you i should apply for them university .

I cant say for sure mate, but you can try, if they see that youve made good progress then theyll put you on, but remember make a killer personal statement as well as this could tip the scales if they're looking at you 50/50

I am currently doing the Btec level 3 ext in engineering and for my first year im predicted D*DD I was wondering would my gcse affect me going to universitys like theuniversity of nottingham/ aston or other mid range RG unis

I want to do mechanical engineering:-)

they will hopefully.however Surrey wants A llevel maths a long side the btec coursr

I know but i told them i do unit 4 and 28 which are eqv to a level maths.
Do you think university of Nottingham will look at Gcse in depth as they only want a C in english which i have

No they wont as you have distinction for maths and further maths.

If you don't meet their GCSE requirements I wouldn't apply to that university - Universities are much stricter when it comes to minimum GCSE requirements. If you do, and meet their BTEC requirements too/are predicted them, go for it, you have nothing to lose. Just make sure you have a safe insurance choice - I can't stress how important that is!

I applied to Birmingham and Cardiff too, though not for engineering :smile:
