Geography related apprenticeships?

I don't think that I will be suited for university so I want to go down an alternative route. Can anyone give me advice/information/experiences of alternative route which results in a geography based career. (physical geography).
Thanks
Hello!

Regarding options for geography related careers, many roles involve working within the government, either at a local or national level, or with environmental groups or charities. Environmental groups and charities tend to rely on volunteers for a lot of their work and use them as a pool of potential candidates when recruiting.

Volunteering is a great way to show them your skills and gain vital experience for when you do apply. If you are interested, there are some opportunities for school leavers looking to get hands-on experience in the environmental sector available here: [url=" http://schoolleavers.milkround.com/jobs/energy-environmental-and-agriculture/#browsing "]http://schoolleavers.milkround.com/jobs/energy-environmental-and-agriculture/#browsing

Other career areas available to geographers vary from publishing to computing. Tourism is also popular option - you can explore a few different sectors over on Milkround School Leavers here: http://schoolleavers.milkround.com/

Hope that helps a little - feel free to message us if you have any further questions!
