Sociology applicants 2016

Hey all!

It doesn't seem like there's a thread for possible sociology applicants for 2016, so thought I'd make one!

So who is applying for sociology or a variation of sociology for 2016? And if so, where are you all applying? Or if you already have an offer, where from?

I think I'll be applying to do sociology at Manchester, Exeter, Nottingham, Sheffield and Liverpool.

Hi! I'm hoping to study Sociology too next year!

Haven't applied yet but hopefully: Exeter, Birmingham, Bath, Surrey and Warwick! What made you choose the ones you did?

Options:
- Sociology- Bath AAB (with placement)
- Sociology- Surrey AAB (with placement)
- Sociology- Birmingham ABB
- Sociology- Warwick ABB
- Social Sciences (Sociology + Social Anthropology)- Manchester ABB

Likely to put Surrey as my firm and Manchester or Warwick as my insurance. Placement and year abroad options were big factors for me.

AS: ABBC (Sociology, Eng Lit, Geography and History)
A2 predicted: AAB (dropped History)

UCAS was received on the 9th and on the same day got offers from Surrey and Warwick, Manchester then gave me an offer on the 11th. Waiting for Bath and not too bothered on Birmingham.

Ah congrats on the offers, thats amazing! Going for the placement at Bath and Surrey too! Realllly just want to get my personal statement sent off haha, I've been told by my friends they just check track all the time haha when its not down!

Hey guys!
These are my options:
Sociology: Nottingham ABB
Sociology: Leeds ABB
Sociology: Sheffield BBB
Sociology: Exeter ABB
Sociology: Bristol ABB

So far I've had offers from all of them apart from Bristol which is my first choice :frown:

sent my application off on 5th November. Good luck to all of you :smile:

I wanna be in a bigger city (Exeter is an exception though), and the modules looked really interesting!
I thought about applying to Birmingham as well, although I decided to opt for Exeter.

I've applied for Manchester, Exeter, Bath, Southampton and Bournemouth. I sent my application off on the 10th November.
So far I have offers from Manchester, Exeter and Southampton (all ABB) and an unconditional from Bournemouth :smile:
