Should I take Biomedical Science or pursue Medicine?

I always really wanted to be a doctor, but my GCSE grades weren't good enough (3 As, a C and the rest Bs), and since I didn't have a backup plan, I took a Science BTEC instead of A Levels. However, I still really want to do Medicine. Could I take it with a foundation year with my grades, or should I take Biomedical Science? Obviously I know they're different things, but I would still be able to take the subjects I'm interested in. I think I would end up doing similar things, with Medicine I would specialise in neurology, and with Biomedical Science I would try to go on to get a PhD in Neuroscience. Which do you think I should do?
Apply for the foundation year opportunities. Have one biomedical science course as a backup.

Graduate Entry Medicine is possible. Yes, it is attainable. But it is difficult and expensive.
