I want to study computer science but grades!

Hi,

I currently doing 2 A-levels and an AS. My own prediction is that i would get BCc by the end of this academic year. i'm thinking of applying for a computer science courses that require 260 ucas points for applying to a course that provides a foundation year(CCC or DDD)

So should i continue with my AS for another year or should i go this year to uni.

Im confused HELP.

If you need UCAS points, ask to sit the General Studies AS and A2 exams, you don't need to go to lessons or do much prep - just read the newspapers and learn to construct arguments. Also complete the EPQ and you'll have enough to go to any UCAS uni you want.

Have you considered doing the level 3 BTEC IT extended diploma? It's really good for comp sci, not very difficult to get consistent distinctions and this can put you in a position to get into much better unis without needing to do a foundation year.
