The Student Room Group

Someone help me with question on consideration please

Person A had conducted a networking party.

Person B had declined payment for his services saying that his commitment to the party will be rewarded enough. However, Person B then finds out that the costs were more than anticipated and Person A promises to 'reimburse him fully in due course'. Person A, ultimately, refuses to reimburse person B.

I am confused as what points of law to apply to the scenario. Thanks for the help.
