Personal statement/areas of interest: Social history in general, revolutionary France, volunteering at historical sites of interest.
How did the HAT go: I DON'T KNOW ......... It's so stressful
HAT question 2 topic: French Aristocracy 1650 - 1780
Subject of written work: ... the collapse of the French Aristocracy. I know, there's a theme here.

How did the HAT go: started well, got progressively worse
HAT question 2 topic: Liberal Government 1906-1918 (or thereabouts lol)
Subject of written work: Laissez Faire America before WW1

Town where you live: 20 miles off Peterborough

Personal statement/areas of interest: modern history, international relations and game theory for econ. Also mentioned a bit about AJP Taylor and EH Carr

How did the HAT go: actually have no idea, liked q3 but 1 was a bit of a nightmare

HAT question 2 topic: didn't have to do it, answered the HECO instead!

Subject of written work: the League of Nations and whether it was a failure

A2 Predicted: A*AA with A* in the epq ( apparently!?)
Personal statement areas of interest: tge tudors, war of the roses, how history influences identity and responsibility for the holocaust.
How did the HAT go: started very well, dont want to mention the last question lol.
HAT Question 2 topic: Nazi Germany 1933-45.
Subject of written work: Why the liberals lost the 1874 election.

Personal statement/areas of interest: Emperor Hadrian, lots of stuff on Ancient Rome

How did the HAT go: Well? Totally depends on how they mark it; I don't think I did enough practice tests to get a sense of how they would.
HAT question 2 topic: Roosevelt presidency, 1933-1945
Subject of written work: how the legacy of Thomas Jefferson's ideology contributed to the secessionist movement in the South during the Civil War

I believe it's popular every year. Exeter, Balliol and Worcester are also generally popular for reasons that I'm not overly sure on.

Personal statement/areas of interest: Modern European history (Russia, Germany) + 20th century America, talked about EPQ (Swedish neutrality in WW2) + brief mention of earlier history from taster courses, e.g. peasants' revolt.
How did the HAT go: The more I think about it the worse I think I did haha

Subject of written work: US economic boom of 1920s.

Looks like our interests overlap a little bit! I'm a big fan of early modern France and Britain too.
