Political and Legal constitution help!!

Hey!

Essentially I've done so (probably too) much reading on what a political and legal constitution is. I think I've just become swamped with opinions and commentator's circular definitions; I really just need some clarity.

Essentially I've got this:

Political - the legislative hold the executive to account;
Legal - the judiciary hold the executive to account.

I understand the former is about convention, understandings and sovereignty... but then I think does this include Acts of Parliament? Or does that enter into the legal domain? Does legal essentially mean codified? It's questions like this that are leaving me so lost.

Basic explanations would be very useful as I've been reading on this for days to no avail.

Ta :smile:.
