What's involved in a Medicinal Chemistry degree?

How much maths do you need to do well in the course?
What are the hardest topics you can study?
Tell me all about it!
Is there anybody on here studying Med Chem or Chemistry at uni?
Hello!

Im applying for Masters in medicinal chemistry. As far as I am aware, the first two years are very closely related to normal chemistry degree however towards the end of the degree you complete more modules in organic chemistry and biology modules e.g proteins. So in the last few years you do less physical chemistry.

Thank you for responding

Sounds good, not a huge fan of physical chemistry tbh
I did Chemistry with Drug Design and Toxicology, for 2nd year at Hull, you still do the branches of chemistry with the med chem add ons. You really specialise in your honours / master year fully. My modules were also in pharmacology / pharmacy / carbohydrate chemistry / protein chemistry as well as organic chemistry.
