Is this a bad idea? -> UCAS Course

I'm predicted AAC with Maths(A), Physics(A) and History(C)

I want to study BSc Physics at UCL but their entry is AAA.
However, they offer 'Physics with medical physics' which has entry req of ABB.
Physics with medical Physics has the same modules taught as BSc Physics but with an extra module on imaging.

Should I apply for Physics with medical Physics (ABB) at UCL but ask the university to transfer me after the first year to BSc Physics after my 1st year exam results or should I just apply to other universities for BSc Physics?

Firstly there is no guarantee they will let you swop courses. Secondly you do not meet the entry requirement for either course and will very likely be rejected. Candidates applying to UCL usually exceed their minimum entry standards. By all means apply for this course but do so fully prepared that the likely result is rejection. Finally ensure that the rest of options are places that you meet the entry requirements and are likely to get offers.
