Didn't manage to get a winter vacation scheme and now worrying about summer schemes.
It seems they are aimed at penultimate year law students (at least at some firms), does this mean I shouldn't apply/have a worse chance of getting one?

Like J-SP said, don't apply if it says you're not meant to. I'm pretty sure I've seen some firms that do vac schemes for final year non-law, so I would google that.
