Interview Dilemma - Should I pull a 'sickie?'

I currently work nights and I am working tonight, a 12 hour shift and do not finish work until 6am tomorrow morning. However, I have an interview tomorrow morning at 9am which is a opportunity that I cannot miss.

I haven't even bother asking for the night off as I know for certain my manager will say no due to being a very busy period and no time off is permitted currently. However, I am considering pulling a 'sickie' tonight and waking up fresh and going for the interview in the morning.

I know it is not the most orthodox solution as I have never pulled a sickie in my life but I am desperate to move jobs as I do not enjoy working nights. Admittedly, I could go to the interview after work but it's not exactly viable after a 12 hour shift, I need to go in with a clear mind and hopefully land the job.

What to do? Got up until 12pm before I inform my manager.
