nervous about singing in church?

at my local church service on sunday i always get really nervous when we have to sing the hymns i really do not like singing in public in case others hear my voice, the issue here is that i have a really deep low bass voice and i will never forget the time when this girl started laughing at me when she heard me singing, any advice on how i can overcome these nerves

Man, who isn't nervous about singing? I hate singing, too, and my voice is so quiet that no one even notices it! If it's being laughed at you're nervous about, you shouldn't be. Just close your eyes, count to ten and sing. I don't go to church, but singing hymns is important, right? There's nothing you can do to make your voice less low (not that I know of!), but your attitude is the key. I definitely understand the nerves, though, and I hope you feel better the next time :smile:
