Changing Courses

Hi

I have attended university in 2014 for a year and I am now on a gap year. I have considered changing my current course and university but I would like to know if I'll be affected by the new changes. Will I still be eligible for Maintenance Grant (or be under the old system) If I change my course and apply for a new one (Starting from year 1)?

Hi,

If you are going to change course and start a new university, then you will be classed as a new student and fall under the new guidelines that are starting from the 16/17 academic year.

Only those students starting courses in the 16/17 academic year will beaffected by the changes. We have no further guidelines on this at present.
