For part of my English Language work I have to carry out a questionnaire about accents and need some people to complete it for me if you've got a free minute or two, thanks.

Q2. Which accent suits a news reporter?
a) RP (Received Pronunciation)
b) Yorkshire

Q3. Which accent sounds the least educated?

I'll give it a shot for you, buddy.

1 - not exactly a connoisseur of Glaswegian accents to I'll go with C.

2 - C for sure.

3 - you know what you're doing with that choice, it's amusingly tough to call (no offence to the proponents or owners of said accents). Gonna go with C.

4 - B.

5 - I'd admit accents are perhaps more trouble than they're worth when all's said and done, but I like them so A.

6 - C, but I'd never thought any of the three choices were particularly regarded with an idea of them being a re-assuring, trusting kind of accent. Southern Irish is the most charismatic and pleasing to my ear so I suppose I'd go for that on balance, but trustworthiness based on accent is a difficult thing to measure, anyways. Placing trust in someone generally comes from the words themselves accompanied by their actions. :wink:
