Hello guys
I need some help on this scenario
Darran owns a carwash and is hoping to expand thebusiness so that he can buy and sell tyres. He is informed by a friend that itwould be cheaper to travel and buy the tyres abroad and have them exportedover. Darran decides that this is a good idea and employs Ian for three weeks tosupervise the carwash for him whilst he is away. Ian is instructed that he must‘keep things ticking over’ and that he can purchase up to £2000 worth ofsupplies such as detergent and other necessary chemicals and that at no costshould he enter into any new contracts. Kaleem, an acquaintance of Darran’s paysa visit to the carwash hoping to see Darran in relation to an offer he has beeninformed of regarding new car air fresheners. Ian explains that he has been left in charge and that he been giveninstructions not to make any new agreements. Kaleem persists, stating thatDarran would buy them if he was present and that they will not be cheaperanywhere else. He also states that if Ian does decide to purchase some, he willsell them at discount price. As Kaleem is very persuasive, Ian buys 1000 airfresheners for the discounted price of £300 to be paid at a later date andchanges the amount on the invoice, to £500, placing £200 in his pocket. Helater buys chemical products for the carwash for £3000 as he feels they werenecessary. On his return, Darran questions Ian in relation to the airfresheners and states that he would not have bought them as they already had avery large supply stocked away in the office. When Kaleem calls for payment,Darran refuses to pay. A week later when the chemical products are delivered henotices that the sum to be paid is more than he allowed Ian to spend, nonetheless he signs the agreement and has the products placed indoors. A fewdays later he receives an invoice and request for payment, which he again he refusesto pay.
Thanks
