Can I write 3 months instead of 12 weeks?

I did an internship for 12 weeks which I want to put in my CV. But the thing is while 12 weeks are commonly considered as 3 months, technically it is actually less than that. I just think months sounds better than weeks but I cannot write 2,8 months or something like that. What do you think, is it legitimate to say 3 months instead of 12 weeks?

Yes. 3 months is equivalent to the range from 2.51 months to 3.49 months.
