Do you mean the long term behaviour? If so take the limit as the independent variable tends to infinity.

Always try putting the variable as a huge number like 10000 or something and the result should always come out to a specific value

Yeah like the asymptote of the graph of e^x
I don't know how to answer fully questions such as 'explain why the graph can not reach a certain value'
