Where to meet new people? NOT halls
I'm not living in halls cos I have a flat and I just started a new uni course. Feel like I've become a bit detached from my old friends who are all moving away to different places. So I want to make some new friends - real friends, the kind who stay with you for life.
My course mates are ok and I chat to them. But there are only 20 of us on the course and i'd say there's only one or two who I properly get on with.
Going to join a society but I'm not sure if they're a very sociable club (it's a photography society). Not too into competitive sports so a sports club probably isn't for me.
I want to put myself out there and just meet people. But really not sure where/how
