Porn star James Deen allegedly raped former partner Stoya and another fellow sex worker. He denies both cases.
This is simply a witch hunt against someone who is potentially innocent; someone who has now lost his job and has been demonised.
"McDonnell-Parrey told the BBC that she decided to terminate any future columns "almost immediately after seeing Stoya's post," and that their site focuses on "believing women"."

People/companies are quick to jettison those who make them look bad, even if it's just rumours. It's always been that way though. Just look at the response the accusations are getting on twitter. There are people calling him a rapist outright, and others saying "well I never liked him anyway, what a prick."

This is why I always think in cases of accusations such as rape, paedophilia etc., the accused should have anonymity until (if) found guilty. It's so easy to destroy someone's life with accusations like that. I have a friend who knew someone at school who falsely accused a teacher of having (consensual) sex with her. It ruined his whole career, even though it turned out to be a false accusation.

Women can be everything men can be and vice versa... anyone who says otherwise isn't worth my time.
Taking women seriously = great, but since when did that mean assuming everything they say is true?

Why just rape or paedophilia? I don't see why we need to trial by media anyone.

Mostly because they're the ones that are most likely to be life-ruiner sort of crimes if that makes sense, along with murder and stuff like that. Things like theft aren't likely to do much to you if you're acquitted, and also don't tend to garner much media attention, which is why I didn't really think about adding them.
