Foundation Year Question!

Can you apply for a foundation year without 'exceptional circumstances'?
For example, East Anglia requires a 'CCC' grade study Biology there with a foundation year.

Thanks

Yes, you can. A foundation year is for those who don't meet the requirements to go directly into a BSc/BA, etc. Exceptional circumstances aren't needed

Thanks, but why doesn't everyone who doesn't do well at A levels just go for a course like this to get into a good uni?

Thanks again.

I honestly don't know, actually... maybe it's the extra year at university...

Because not all good unis offer a foundation year in every subject, and nobody really wants the extra year of debt and it's a bit annoying to technically be in uni but still in year 0 and not actually be an undergraduate.

For some people, it's easier and cheaper to take a year out and have time some off education whilst retaking a couple of exams.
I'm currently doing a foundation year and then changing to a better uni
