Mechanical Engineering requirments

I really need help with this.

i am currently studying BTEC level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering and predicted D*D*D for my overall grade.

the problem is i have really bad GCSE grades.
my GCSE grades are:

IGCSE ENGLISH LANGUAGE (C)
GCSE MATHS (C)
BTEC LEVEL 2 EXT CERT IN SCIENCE (PASS)
BTEC LEVEL 2 EXT CERT IN SPORT (PASS)
BTEC LEVEL 2 EXT CERT IN I.T (PASS)
LEVEL 1 IN DIGITAL APPLICATIONS (PASS)

As you can see my GCSEs are quite poor.

my question is, will universities still consider me even if i achieve my engineering predicted grades, have a very good personal statement and a very good teacher reference i really want to study mechanical engineering at the university of Nottingham or at Aston
