Just choose which one you prefer the feel of...

Warwick is the one I'd go for but I'm bias, as the above poster put go for the one you feel you will be most happy in.

Hi!

I am trying to decide which university to firm and which to insurance. I have offers from Warwick, York and Bath, and I am waiting on a reply from Imperial (tbh I think I will get rejected :frown: ). I have a Cambridge interview soon too.

Out of all my choices I think I would most want to go to York or Warwick - Cambridge seems very pressure intensive (and you live in the same accommodation for all 3 years and it is catered so... life skills? Also it is only a BA - the others are MSci or MChem), Bath is NatSci (different course, not specialised so might not be seen as too good to employers and is not accredited) and Imperial is too expensive and will probably reject me.

Having seen both of them I think I prefer the area Warwick is in and the surroundings, and I prefer the chemistry labs there. I also prefer the accommodation, and it is easier to get to. On the other hand, I prefer the feel of the York chemistry department, and it is cheaper. The people working in the chemistry department seem friendlier and their new chemistry labs look quite nice. The York course also has a year in industry. It is a bit lower ranked though and a bit further away.

I am currently predicted A*A*A*A*A*A* so I am pretty sure I can get in to either of them, the only question is which. Technically Warwick is higher in the league tables, but both are pretty high so this shouldn't be much of a difference.

Any opinions?

Thanks!

Not really an expert on Chemistry, but Cambridge does offer an MSci in Chemistry so I'm not sure where you got the idea that it didn't. Also the idea Cambridge students don't have life skills because they spend their time in college is utter twaddle. Anyone with half a brain can live by themselves, you don't need to 'practice' it by spending time in a dingy student house lmao.
