    Re: Official Accomodation Thread!
Just sent away my accomodation form!

    1: Northfield
    2: Lewes Court 2
    3: Swanbourough
    4: Lewes Court 1
    5: Brighthelm

Fingers crossed! I'm hoping that because I left out the other forms of accomodation they won't send me there. Lets hope they don't give out accomodation in alphabetical order as I only have a conditional offer and have no idea how they decide who gets what they want and who doesn't.

Thinking of going for standard rooms in Brighthelm/Lewes court/Park Houses as my top choices, not sure of the order yet though

Right so i know everyone's saying you're likely not to get your first choice if you've got a conditional but from what i've been reading on this thread hardly anyone has put east slope in their top 5 choices and seeing as its my first what are the chances of me getting it???

Right I assume everyone has got there accomodation forms, so... 1, What you choose in order? 2, What type of offer do you hold (Us unconditionals will be sorted earlier )

I changed mine last minute and picked

    1, Park houses
    2, East Slope
    3, Park Village
    4, Phase 1/2
    ETC

I got an unconditional, so should get Park houses hopefully...even though £81 is a bit evil in my opinion.
there is no difference between conditionals and unconditionals because the results are out in july

If you put East slope as your first choice, i would say your very very likely to get it because nearly nobody puts it as there first.

I think unconditionals do get first priority, it says on this link.

You should get it pretty soon, if not you can go to this link

    https://accommodation.brighton.ac.uk...login/start.do

if you email accommodation@brighton.ac.uk with your name, date of birth, and UCAS number they will send you your student number and then you can apply.

I sent mine off today, put Park Village as number 1. My mum told me not to put down any others as I can't go anywhere more expensive and I'd get put in East Slope (which is where my brother was) if I didn't get that anyway. Although seeing everybody put down a load of choices is making me freak out a little!

Im confused, when were doing the accommodation form do we have to fill all of the options up? I was under the impression that if you only put down a few choices and if they are all full and the next choice is blank they will sort you to a random place.

I hope we don't have to fill all the options up, I only put one! I think it's fine, as they said at least one, but you didn't have to put more down if you didn't want to.

You should get an email from the university with the link to the online application for accommodation. It's pretty straight forward once you're onto it. If you haven't got it yet then maybe email them and ask about it?

You're welcome Oh I see, well there seem to be loads of people who haven't got it yet, so their probably still in the process of emailing everyone. Besides, the accommodation deadline isn't til something like 1st August so you have plenty of time (and Sussex don't base it on first come first serve apparently). So unless you're worried about it then I'd wait a little while and see what happens.
