Would I be allowed to volunteer at a Foodbank?

I'm currently 15 (16 on 24th December) and I have already received my National Insurance number. I'm really hoping to volunteer at a local Foodbank (from the Trussell Trust group), I've looked over the site but it gives no information on the minimum age for volunteering, would they accept me if I applied or would it be worth me sending them an email inquiring about minimum age first?

Ask them. It may depend on what roles the volunteers get involved in: collecting and sorting is very different from the point of distribution. At distribution, it can be quite challenging, so you may be better suited at your age to some other aspect or role.
