Wow ... coded the whole thing from scratch? using the msn protocol references?

or did you use the handy .NET MSN Messenger library?

It's just i'm surprised at how quickly you went from a fairly standard site linking to other services, to suddenly having one of your own!!!
    thanks for your suspicions, but:

    a) i only 'temporarily' placed links to other services in my old website but maintaining the 'message' that my 'own' one was being implemented alongside a better website and would be released soon, and all the interested members who emailed me were promised a better site and a 'better' service (my service) soon, so it didnt entirely come out of the blue.

    b) i can give you a sample of my source code if you email me at swatfa@gmail.com and you can judge for yourself whether it compares or not to the .net msn messenger library you mentioned above.

besides on the site you mentioned there are examples of web based messengers designed using the code which are 'very' basic compared to mine. So even if i used the framework i would 'still' have had to do 'lots' of work to be able to get it: live (no refreshing), viewing custom font etc. Obviously with heindsight i would have saved alot of time if i saw the site earlier but unfortunatly i did it from scratch, which i can prove with my sample source if you request.

Finally: i worked like hell to be able to make this, and i have been honest about what was mine and what wasnt, so please dont just make assumptions

no probs, there are only two sites in the whole world wide web which use my web messaging client along with the realtime support and the other features listed on my page:
one would be my colleagues: wbmsn.net, and the other would be mine. His one is under 'beta' and works the same way but is limited in some ways, however he did contribute alot to the implementation of the web messenger, so its not entirely my work alone. The web messenger was my first web project with most of my other work comprising of symbian platform games (games for the sony P800, P900 and nokia etc) do a search for 'swatfa' and you will find my legendary pushpuzzle game listed on several websites
